the central coast of california is…

…a beautiful place.

Which I didn’t actually appreciate so much until I got my fancy camera and started getting excited about finding things to take pictures of. ¬†They’re everywhere to be found:

fields that ripple from the hills down to the ocean on sunny afternoons…

¬†amber waves of grasses…

and thistles that grow beside barbed wire…

and later in the day, when the fog starts to roll in, you’ll find cows roaming fields…


and not so far away, the beautiful, austere coast…

…whose mood is sometimes lightened by plants like this one that grow at the edge of the sand:

And maybe when you get home after driving through the hills and down the coast, you’ll find that your friend has left something to lighten YOUR mood:
something strange and starry.
